Eva

In all the commotion of Will's arrival, I have majorly neglected blogging. I feel as though I have tons of material to write about, but not the time to sit and gather my thoughts. So, here's a catch-up post from February...

We celebrated Eva's second birthday.

It was a fun day of balloons, cake, presents and special surprises.

We asked her what her favorite things to do were, and she listed going to Chuck E Cheese, getting ice cream, and going to a candy store. So, that's what we did!

Eva is growing up into a beautiful, spunky, sweet and intelligent little girl. She loves books, hockey and football, food, dressing up and jewelry, singing, and playing with her big brothers.

Her latest love is her new little brother, whom she affectionately calls Baby Will.

We call her our little firecracker, as she's full of light, energy and sparkle.
We love you, Eva Diva!

One

My baby girl turned one today.

I have been thinking a lot about what it means to have a daughter. A baby who will grow into a girl, then turn into a teenager, then transform into a woman...

I've been thinking about innocence. About confidence. About beauty. About strength...and all the other things I want Eva to have and to be...

I love my daughter! She is funny, outgoing and affectionate. Unafraid of large dogs or heights, she explores her world with wonder and abandon. She has a little vampire smile and sparkling hazel eyes. She adores her big brothers.

She is a gift.

Happy birthday, Eva!
